Welcome! I am Guilherme de Sousa (he/him), a theoretical physics Ph.D. from São José dos Campos, Brazil.

I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, U.S., working with Professor Christopher Jarzynski and Ian Spielman on quantum control, quantum measurement theory, statistical physics, and machine learning. My research interests include quantum information and quantum thermodynamics.

 

I am heading to Instituto de Física de São Carlos (IFSC-USP) to start a postdoc position in July 2025. IFSC is also the place where I got my Bachelor's in Science in Computational Physics.
